EDWARD P. BOWERS, C.P.A., C.I.R.A., D.A.B.F.A., C.F.F.

Edward P. Bowers has been a partner with Middleswarth, Bowers & Co., C.P.A.'s since 1978.  Prior to that he was employed with the firm of Coopers & Lybrand (Now Price Waterhouse Coopers). 

In 1972, he received his bachelor degree from East Tennessee State University.  In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (NC #10,100), he has been licensed as a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Accountant (C.I.R.A.), Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting (D.A.B.F.A.), and Certified in Financial Forensics (C.F.F.). 

He has been a speaker at the annual meetings of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the J. Nelson Young Tax Institute, and has given presentations to local accounting organizations and U.S. bankruptcy trustees.  He is a member of the Association of Insolvency Accountants, INSOL International, National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, American College of Forensic Examiners, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, American Institute of C.P.A.'s, and the N.C. Association of C.P.A.'s.

 
MICHAEL T. BOWERS, M.B.A., J.D., C.P.A., A.B.V.
 

Michael T. Bowers has been a Partner of Middleswarth, Bowers & Co., L.L.P. since 2015.  In 2002, he received his bachelor degree from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and in 2005 his masters in accountancy from Winthrop University. Michael received his juris doctor in 2013 from the Charlotte School of Law.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (NC #38310), Michael is Accredited in Business Valuations by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael is also a licensed attorney in North Carolina.

JAMES R. MIDDLESWARTH, C.P.A.

James R. Middleswarth was a partner with Middleswarth, Bowers & Co., C.P.A.'s  since 1978.  He retired December 2022.
